Documents, PDFs and invoice photos: AI reads paper too

A lot of information exists only on paper, as a PDF or in a photo: invoices, receipts, reports, purchase orders.

In short

A lot of information exists only on paper, as a PDF or in a photo: invoices, receipts, reports, purchase orders. AI reads these documents, pulls out the figures and names, and organizes them into a table you can analyze.

How it works

In three steps.

1. A photo or a PDF

A photo taken with a phone or a scanned document is enough, even if it isn’t perfectly straight.

SUPPLIER A · HARDWARE STOREInvoice no. 2026-0417Date: 12/10/2026
Cement 42.5 kg × 20 …… 260.00Rebar 12 mm × 50 ……. 410.00Transport ……………. 35.00
TOTAL USD …………. 705.00

2. AI extraction

The AI recognizes the supplier, the date, the invoice number, each line and the total. The amounts are checked: the lines must add up to the total.

3. The result

Hundreds of invoices become a single table: spending by supplier, by month or by site.

Spending by supplier · October
Supplier A (hardware store)$8,450
Supplier B (transport)$3,900
Supplier C (electrical)$2,700
Supplier D (office)$1,150

The documents we read

  • PDFs: tables, reports, statements.
  • Word and text documents.
  • Scanned documents and photos of invoices or receipts.
  • Technical formats: JSON and XML.

A link with Enterprise Content Management
